Harvey Nichols Cocktail of the Month: August
The Cocktail of the Month for August at Harvey Nichols #Leeds
takes its inspiration from the Sicilian long hot summers. Made with
Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, the winning cocktail “Southern Sun” was
designed by the Fifth Floor Café Team London and combines the full
bodied spirit with sweet fruity flavours of lime, mandarin and
watermelon.
Each exotic blood orange that goes into Solerno Liqueur
is hand plucked at the height of its short growing season from sun
drenched groves on the slopes of Mt. Etna, in Sicily. The finest fruit
is then processed within 24 hours to maintain the fresh, ethereal nature
of the oil. The perfectly balanced liquid is then packaged in a
beautiful, Murano inspired glass bottle which flushes a deep red like
the flesh of the blood orange fruit. When mixed with the sweet Mandarine
Napoleon and fresh fruits, the cocktail yields a velvety sweetness,
harmoniously balanced with honeyed tartness.
Why not mix one up at home?
