The Kooples celebrate first anniversary in Victoria Quarter

The Kooples celebrate first anniversary in Victoria Quarter

Distinctive French fashion brand, The Kooples, celebrates its first anniversary in Leeds’ premiere shopping destination, Victoria Quarter, this week.

Founded by Alexandre, Laurent and Raphael Elisha, who are also responsible for the successful Comptoir des Cotonniers, The Kooples concept is based on the idea that people in relationships frequently borrow each other's clothes, so their style has a slightly more masculine and androgynous edge with a cool rock vibe. Recognised for skinny silhouettes, sharply tailored sleeves and slim fit trousers, The Kooples collections are sewn in the legendary ateliers of Savile Row and the brother’s work alongside British tailor, Patrick Grant of Norton & Sons to create a truly British sensibility at the core of their suiting.
Manager Anna Jackson commented, “It’s been a good first year for the store, with many customers coming to the brand for the first time. Our clients recognise the quality of the clothes and appreciate the ethos of the fashions. The last 12 months has given us a great foundation on which to build, and looking ahead we are introducing several more lines each season, meaning there’ll regularly be new things to see for both existing and new customers.”
VQ Centre Director, John Bade added, “The Kooples is still an emerging brand in the UK, but the VQ store has clearly developed a following over the last year. The store is the perfect complement to the overall mix in the centre, and we wish them continued success here in the years ahead.”
